What are lesson plans for?
Academics → Lesson Plans shows what each class will be taught on the next school day. Teachers write a plan the day before for every subject they teach. The head teacher of a class and the school admin can read every plan for that class. Weekends and holidays on the calendar are skipped, so on a Friday the page opens on Monday.
How does a teacher write a plan?
Open Lesson Plans and press Write plan on the subject. Fill in the Topic, the Learning objectives (press Add objective for more than one), the Teaching aids, one Assessment question to check learning, and the Homework. Press Save draft to finish later, or Submit when it is ready. Copy last plan fills the form from the teacher's previous plan for that subject.
Does the homework go to the Daily Diary?
Yes, once the plan is submitted. A draft stays with the teacher. If the teacher later edits the diary entry by hand, the plan does not overwrite it.
How does the head teacher check the plans?
Each class shows its subjects with a status: Not written, Draft or Submitted. Use the Class, Teacher and Status filters to find missing plans. Open a plan and write a Note for the teacher, then press Save note. The teacher sees the note on their plan. Use Previous day and Next day to move between dates.
Can I print the plans?
Yes. Press Print next to a class to download all its written plans as a PDF in the paper lesson-plan layout. A single plan can also be printed from the plan itself.
Who sees lesson plans?
Teachers write plans for the subjects they are assigned to in Classes & Subjects. Head teachers and school admins read all plans of their classes. Lesson Plans is part of the Daily Diary feature, so it shows only when Daily Diary is on for the school.
