Privacy Policy

What Skoolyte collects, why, who helps us run it, how long it is kept, and the choices you have.

In effect from 16 October 2026

In short

  • A school’s records belong to the school. We use them only to run Skoolyte for that school.
  • We never sell personal information or use it for advertising.
  • We share information only with the services that help us run Skoolyte, listed below, and only what each one needs.

1. Two kinds of information

  • About people who visit our website, write to us or sign up: Zindawar Technologies decides how this is used, and this policy explains it.
  • Inside a school’s Skoolyte (students, parents, staff): the school decides what is recorded and why. We keep and process it for the school, under our Terms of Service.

2. What we collect from the website and sign-up

  • Contact form: your name, school, phone or email and your message.
  • “Chat with us”: your name, email or phone, your messages and the page you were on.
  • Sign-up: the school’s name, city and phone, and the admin’s name and email.
  • Website visits: Google Analytics records pages visited, the type of device and browser and an approximate location, using cookies. It does not give us names.

3. Why we use it

  • To answer questions and give demos.
  • To create and run your school’s account, and send account emails (verifying your email, bills, security codes).
  • To send occasional emails about getting started. You can unsubscribe from these at any time.
  • To see which pages help visitors, and to keep the website and Skoolyte secure.

4. Information inside a school’s Skoolyte

Depending on what the school records, this can include students’ names, B-form or CNIC numbers, dates of birth, addresses, photos, class, attendance, marks, fees and notes; parents’ names and phone numbers; and staff records, attendance (with location, if the school turns on location check-in) and salaries.

We use it only to provide Skoolyte to that school. Our team opens a school’s Skoolyte only to help it, when the school asks or allows it; those visits are logged and shown to the school.

Much of this is about children. We treat it with extra care. Parents with questions about their child’s information should contact the school first; we help the school answer.

5. Who helps us run Skoolyte

We use these services. Each gets only what it needs to do its job for us:

  • Amazon Web Services: the servers, database, file storage, backups and the emails Skoolyte sends.
  • Cloudflare: hosts this website.
  • Google: “Sign in with Google”, and Google Analytics on this website.
  • AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and Cloudflare): when someone at a school uses an AI feature, the question and the school data needed to answer it are sent to the provider in use. Schools on the Free plan do not have AI features.
  • SMS and WhatsApp services: when a school sends messages to parents or staff, the phone number and message go to the messaging service it uses.
  • Resend: delivers messages sent through this website’s contact form.

6. When the law requires it

We share information with authorities only when the law requires us to. Where we are allowed to, we tell the school first.

7. Where it is kept and how it is protected

  • Skoolyte runs on Amazon Web Services. Some of the services above may process information outside Pakistan.
  • Connections are always encrypted (HTTPS), each school’s records are kept separate, and the database is backed up every day.
  • Each person signs in with their own account, with optional two-step sign-in. Important changes are logged with who made them and when.

8. How long we keep it

  • A school’s records: while the school uses Skoolyte, and 90 days after its account is closed, so it can still get a copy. Then they are deleted, and drop out of backups on their normal schedule.
  • Website messages and chats: as long as needed to answer and follow up. Ask us and we will delete them.
  • Bills, payments and records of what was accepted: as long as needed for our accounts and the law.

9. Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from getting-started emails with the link in any of them.
  • Ask us to show, correct or delete the information we hold about you from the website or sign-up.
  • For information a school holds about you or your child, ask the school. It can correct it in Skoolyte.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the website still works.

10. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will publish the new version here with a new date and tell school admins in Skoolyte.
